Barker
Steel's
Construction Service Department is responsible
for the detailing, scheduling and customer service requirements
for each project.
In order to keep pace with the accelerated construction
that reinforced concrete provides, and with advances
in quality of materials and techniques of forming and
placing, we maintain a full staff of experienced detailers
who have expertise in all aspects of concrete
construction from building construction to power plants.
Our
detailers have the latest in CAD detailing technology
that is brought to bear on projects in the United States,
such as the Central Artery/Third Harbor Tunnel, in Boston,
MA. We
have detailed and supplied in excess of 300,000 tons
of reinforcing bars and related products on this project
alone. At
the same time, we detail and service over 2000 projects
each year.
Our
Project Managers have access to the most advanced
contract management software in the industry.
The Project Manager can access information
on a project from the detail of the estimate, bar-lists
and shipping schedules down to the trailer number
and its location to better service our customers.
We
have the technical knowledge and experience that would
allow us to interact at any level required of today’s
fast-track projects.
Our
industry knowledge is the most extensive in the industry
with each of our managers having an average of over
thirty years of experience in the reinforcing bar industry.
We are members of
CRSI and
ACI and play an active
role in their technical Committees.
